The problem with bacon is not the fat it has. The problem is the industrialized bacon, which receives substances like nitrite and nitrate. The same used in the processed and embedded meats. These preservatives are the real villains that turns food into dangerous food. Imagine this adding one of these snacks with bread and fatty cheeses, condiments, preservatives. The whole makes everything even more harmful to the body, especially children.
Is it the bacon itself that is the villain? If it comes from natural processes, it’s not.
If you are a bacon lover, moderation always is and will be the key word, in fact, in everything that is consumed. It’s in excess that dwells danger. We must banish industrialized bacon. Look to buy bacon from a producer who knows the origin, prepare it in an artisan way, as in the time of our grandparents, without all the subterfuges of the industry that deform the natural quality of the food.
